The Chroma Collective combines music and art in a way that is engaging and fun for our audiences. We promote historically marginalized composers in our performances, and we design our program so that audience members find the artist within themselves.

Art is inclusive.
Art is vulnerable.
Art is freedom.

Our mission is to engage audiences in conventional and unconventional spaces in the intersections between music and art by performing and commissioning music by historically marginalized composers. We immerse audiences in participatory, creative art and music making, inviting them to be artists themselves.

If you are a human,
you are an artist.

Our vision is to foster respect among artists* by modeling respect between audience and performer and championing inclusivity (*If you are a human you are an artist). This includes practicing creativity and vulnerability as we explore art and music together.

“The Chroma Collective experience is so unique. It's one thing to listen to great music and learn about great art. But it's a whole other experience to participate in art-making, while listening to music and observing art. Chroma Collective truly curates a creative experience in which all can participate.”

“I like that we get to paint and be creative, and use the music to help guide our artwork.”
